Cops found cannabis plants in three rooms of house in Motherwell following tip-off
Police found cannabis plants growing in three bedrooms when they raided a house in Motherwell.
Mark Abbott, 45, appeared at Hamilton Sheriff Court and admitted producing the Class B drug on May 18 last year.
Aga Mathieson, prosecuting, said police officers were tipped off about a cannabis cultivation in the house in Hoy Gardens and went there armed with a search warrant.
She told the court: “They recovered 34 plants, with a total value of about £6800, from three bedrooms. The accused was present but made no response when charged.”
An allegation that Abbott was concerned in the supply of cannabis on the same date was dropped.
Sentence was deferred until next month for background reports and an electronic tagging assessment.
Abbott, of Stripehead, Alloa, had his bail continued.
