Full list of general election candidates in North Lanarkshire constituencies

 

Candidates are now confirmed for the seats of Airdrie & Shotts, Coatbridge & Bellshill, Cumbernauld & Kirkintilloch and Motherwell, Wishaw & Carluke

 

Nominations have closed for the general election on July 4 and the ballot papers being presented to voters in the four North Lanarkshire constituencies have been finalised.

Motherwell, Wishaw & Carluke has the largest number of candidates in the area with nine, while there are eight in Coatbridge & Bellshill, seven contesting Airdrie & Shotts and six appearing on the ballot in Cumbernauld & Kirkintilloch.

Voters have until midnight next Tuesday, June 18, to register to vote – with the deadline to apply for new postal and postal proxy votes or to amend or cancel existing ones being 5pm on Wednesday, June 19, and applications for new proxy votes to be received by the following week, June 26.
