Lanarkshire’s inaugural climate festival will take place in September, and groups are being invited to apply for £500 grants to join in with activities and events.

The free download features the latest breaking news and exclusive stories, and allows you to customise your page to the sections that matter most to you.Applications to the festival grant fund – to support “events which can enable local climate conversations and raise interest about climate action” – are open until July 31 at www.climateactionlanarkshire.net.

Northern Corridor community volunteers funding officer Claire Williams added: “We really welcome this opportunity to showcase our community ambitions for net zero; it’s a chance to highlight the benefits of access to opportunities for sustainable travel, greenspaces, and local food growing.
