Motherwell’s are in pole position to secure seventh place in the Scottish Premiership ahead of their final game of the season.
The Steelmen host Ross County at Fir Park on Sunday at 12pm and they know a win will guarantee that they finish the season in seventh spot.
Motherwell have amassed 45 points so far and due to the nature of the split, Graham Alexander’s side have more points than sixth placed Livingston and fifth placed St Johnstone, who both sit on 44 points.
The Fir Park side hold a one point advantage over St Mirren and Dundee United in the fight for seventh spot but only one of those sides can finish ahead of the Steelmen as they face each other in Paisley this weekend.
It’s also a massive clash for visitors Ross County as John Hughes’ side can secure their Premiership survival with a point at Fir Park.
The Staggies are in a strong position heading into the final day as they sit three points ahead of Kilmarnock who face Hamilton and Hughes will be hoping his close friend Brian Rice can do him a favour.
The Steelmen have won their last two fixtures against County this season including an emphatic 4-0 win in the last encounter at Fir Park in October.
The only way to catch the action is on Motherwell TV. Viewers in the UK or Republic of Ireland can catch the game on a pay-per-view basis for £12.
Season ticket holders can watch for free on the Motherwell website. International subscribes are also able to catch the action via live.motherwellfc.co.uk .
Steven McLean will be the man in the middle.
The official has handed out 28 yellow cards and one red card in his 12 Premiership fixtures this season. McLean has also awarded three penalties.
The whistler will be assisted by Graeme Stewart and Graham Chambers with David Munro as the fourth official.
