This Easter, keep the kids entertained at Airdrie Town Hall’s Easter pantomime, Rumpelstiltskin.

North Lanarkshire Council has teamed up with Starbright Entertainments again to present Rumpelstiltskin, starring panto legend Ian ‘Sheepie’ Smith.

The Airdrie panto runs from April 10-14 and tells the classic tale of Rumpelstiltskin, with tall tales, spinning straw in to gold and lots of panto magic.

Rumpelstiltskin tells the story of Dame Morag the Miller, who loves to boast to anyone that will listen about her daughter Mira – even if she sometimes stretches the truth!

Unfortunately, when Dame Morag tells the greedy King that her daughter can spin straw into gold, Mira is locked up in the castle tower until she can prove it.

Lucky for her, a mysterious man appears one night who can help, but the more he helps the higher the cost!

Rumpelstiltskin is a very rare pantomime and this Easter is being given a full makeover and blended with another popular tale, The Sword in the Stone, making it a very unique production, full of all the usual fun that makes the Easter Eggs-travaganza so popular.

The Easter pantomime has become an annual tradition for many, previously delivered in Motherwell Theatre but relocated to Airdrie Town Hall for 2024.

Starring Motherwell panto legend Ian Smith as Artie, the unlikely hero trying to save Mira (Holly Reynolds) and the return of Easter panto favourite Gary Morrison as Dame Morag the Miller.

Featuring an incredible cast, hilarious jokes, toe tapping tunes and a sprinkling of magic – it’s the perfect treat for all the family this Easter.
