Photography club holds AGM in Lanarkshire and sets date for prize giving event

The Annual General Meeting of Motherwell Photographic Society was held on Thursday, April 20.

Reports were given by the office bearers and the club’s financial accounts were approved.

The committee for the 2023-2024 season was elected as follows:

Vice President: vacant position

Secretary: Margaret Dewar

Treasurer: Bill Robison

Syllabus Secretary: Dominic Smith

Competition Secretary: Wilson Murray

Publicity Secretary: Linda Greenhill

Master of Works: vacant position

Committee members: David Anderson, Tom McGinn, Brian Saberton

Several suggestions and issues were discussed during the “Any Other Competent Business” section of the meeting. The committee will look into the viability of implementing any suggestions made.

The club’s annual prize giving and buffet supper will take place on Thursday, April 27 at 7.30pm in Holytown Community Centre.

Motherwell Photographic Society meets on a Thursday evening at 7.30pm in Holytown Community Centre, Stevenston Street, Holytown, ML1 4RG. As always, anyone with an interest in photography, no matter their level, is welcome to attend.
