Santa and his sleigh heading to Motherwell and Wishaw next week

You better watch out, you better not cry, you better not pout I’m telling you why.

Santa Claus and his sleigh are coming to both Wishaw and Motherwell next week.

The event is all thanks to Motherwell and Wishaw Rotary Club who have been organising the fun since 2015.

And after a year’s break due to the pandemic, Santa and his sleigh will be heading through the streets next Monday and Tuesday.

In Motherwell on Monday, December 13, Santa will be travelling on Farm Street, Ladywell Road, North Orchard Street and Kirkland Street stopping at Grainger Way swing park from 6.10pm.

Leaving at 6.25pm, Santa will head along to Kirkland Street, North Orchard Street, Bruce Avenue and Scotia Street to stop number two.

Santa will be at Kildonan Place from 6.30pm leaving 6.45pm. He will then set off for Scotia Street and The Loaning to Logans Road (just outside St. Bernadettes Church) where he will stop from 7pm.

Leaving at 7.15pm, Santa will travel along Logans Road, Chesters Crescent and Watling Street before finishing at Empire Way from 7.20pm.

On Tuesday, December 14, Santa’s starting point in Wishaw will be at the car park of Tesco Express, Coltness Road from 5.30pm until 6.15pm.

The sleigh will then be travelling on Coltness Road and North Kilmeny Crescent to stop one. Santa will be at Newark Drive lock ups from 6.20pm leaving 6.40pm before travelling on Newark Drive, Innerleithen Drive, Kilmeny Crescent, Traquair Drive and Stobo Street stopping at Greenlaw Avenue lock ups from 6.45pm leaving 7pm.

He will then be heading along Greenlaw Avenue, Coltness Road, Waverley Drive and Dryburgh Road to Melrose Crescent (opposite the swing park) from 7.10pm leaving 7.30pm.
